About wildrise

A Safe Scaffolding for Your Becoming

WildRise is a somatic integration and intuitive arts practice based in Howard County, Maryland. We serve clients in-person locally and global clients virtually.

We offer body-based, trauma-informed support for people navigating stress, transition, healing, and growth. Through somatic coaching, bodywork, and intuitive guidance, we help you come home to your body, calm your nervous system, and move into the life you're longing for.

This work is therapeutic-adjacent: a powerful complement to therapy, not a replacement for it.  Many of our clients are actively in therapy and use somatic work to integrate and embody what they're uncovering. Others come to us during seasons of transition, seeking grounded support to help them stay present through change.

Our Commitments

We are a commitment to being a safe scaffolding for co-creating change, healing, love and liberation.

We are a commitment to being trauma-informed, and Neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC inclusive in everything we do.

We are a commitment to building a world that's safe, inclusive, and diverse, and growing our local villages for community care, collective action and limitless joy.

We are a commitment to prioritizing our business dollars for supporting local, queer, and minority-owned businesses.

Hi, I'm Brooke.

I founded WildRise because I know what it's like to live disconnected from your body, and what becomes possible when you come back home.

For years, I operated from the neck up. I built a successful career in brand strategy and marketing, spending over two decades advising startups, global brands, and mission-driven organizations. I was good at it. But underneath the achievements, I was a trauma survivor and Neurodivergent battling burnout, running on adrenaline, carrying tension I couldn't release, and managing anxiety that lived in my body long after my mind had "figured things out."

Therapy helped. Yoga helped. But something was still stuck.

Somatic work changed everything.

Learning to work with my nervous system, not around it, taught me that real transformation doesn't happen through insight alone. It happens when the body gets to be part of the conversation. When we slow down enough to feel what we've been holding. When we give our system the safety it needs to release and reorganize.

That's what I offer now: the same quality of presence, rigor, and embodied support that changed my own life.

Our Experience

Serious Training

for Meaningful Work

When you're doing deep, personal work with your body and nervous system, your practitioner's training matters. A lot.

I trained with the Strozzi Institute, the original somatic training institute, founded in 1985 by Richard Strozzi-Heckler, PhD, widely considered the father of somatic coaching. For nearly 50 years, Strozzi has refined a methodology that produces sustainable, embodied transformation that has trained coaches who work with everyone from Fortune 500 executives to survivors of trauma, community organizers and non-profit organizations committed to social change and equality.

This isn't a program you can simply sign up for. Strozzi doesn't let just anyone in. Acceptance into the coaching certification requires an interview and invitation. And completing the coursework isn't enough. Certification requires passing an extensive review process. Not everyone who begins the program becomes a certified coach in the Strozzi lineage.

Why this matters:

The somatic field has exploded, and so have programs offering "certifications" after a week or a month of online-only training. But somatics is a relational, embodied practice. You cannot learn to work safely with someone's nervous system through a screen alone. You cannot develop skilled, attuned touch without in-person training. And you cannot hold space for transformation without having done your own deep work. We have.

Somatic Bodywork Certification

My bodywork training goes beyond technique.

Strozzi Somatic Bodywork works directly with the body's held patterns—what's sometimes called "armoring"—the deep muscular contractions that lessen sensation, restrict movement, and hold old emotions and experiences in place. Through precise touch, breath, and directed attention, we create change where conversation or thought alone can't reach.

This training included learning to read subtle body signals, developing distinctions of touch, and cultivating the embodied presence necessary to build trust and hold space through whatever emerges.

Additional Training & Experience

  • 30 years as a Tarot reader and Intuitive: Decades of practice in divination, intuitive guidance, and holding space for people at life's crossroads.

  • Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Vipassana Meditation Teacher: Trained at Charm City Yoga in Baltimore, bringing movement, breath, and embodied awareness into my practice.

  • Reiki Practitioner: Energy work training to support healing and integration.

  • 20+ years in brand strategy and leadership: Before WildRise, I advised Fortune 500 companies, startups, and nonprofits on brand, marketing, and organizational strategy. I understand high-pressure environments, leadership challenges, and what it takes to build something meaningful. That professional foundation informs how I hold space for clients navigating their own complex lives.

Our Approach

How I Work

Safety first. Trauma-informed means we go at your pace. I don't push. I don't override. I follow what your body is ready for and trust its wisdom.

The body knows. Your nervous system has been keeping score. Somatic work helps it release what it's been holding—not through force, but through safety, presence, and attunement.

Healing is co-created. I'm not here to fix you or tell you what you need. You are the expert on your experience. I'm here as a grounded partner, offering tools, presence, and a safe container.

Integration matters. Insight without embodiment stays stuck in the head. This work helps you integrate what you know into how you live, move, relate, and show up.

Intuition has a place. For those who are drawn to it, I weave intuitive arts into the work—tarot, divination, and deeper listening to what's trying to emerge.

This Work Is For You If...

You're carrying stress in your body and want to learn how to release it—not just manage it.
The tension that won't let go. The shallow breathing. The jaw you unclench ten times a day.

You're in therapy and want somatic support to deepen and embody your healing. You've gained insight—now you want your body to catch up.

You're navigating a major life transition and want to move through it with presence and groundedness, rather than white-knuckling your way to the other side.

You feel disconnected from yourself and long to come home to your body, your intuition, your aliveness.

You're ready to release old patterns that you can't think your way out of. You sense your body holds the key.

You're seeking guidance at a crossroads and want intuitive support to connect with your deeper knowing.

I work with clients in-person throughout Howard County, Maryland—including Columbia, West Friendship, and Savage—as well as the greater Baltimore, Annapolis, and DC metro areas. Virtual sessions are available for clients anywhere in the world.
